Had a great day birding around Elver Park and the bike trail just north of
there this afternoon despite the occasional sprinkles. Looks like a lot of
stuff came in last night with the storm. YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKERS, NORTHERN
FLICKERS and GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLETS were everywhere. I also had a dozen FOY
species, including a few HERMIT THRUSHES, an EASTERN TOWHEE, a BONAPARTE'S
GULL, a PILEATED WOODPECKER, several EASTERN PHOEBES, several RUBY-CROWNED
KINGLETS, a pair of EASTERN BLUEBIRDS, a single YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER, a few
singing EASTERN MEADOWLARKS, and a lone BARN SWALLOW. I also had my first of
year butterfly, what I believe was a mourning cloak. A full ebird list is below.
