Sorry for the late post, I have struggled to find time for 'fun' stuff on the computer. Below is an abbreviated list of highlights from the past five days. Thursday I observed two Red-shouldered hawks during a survey route, a new lifer! Friday afternoon my wife and headed to Fond du Lac, finding four Greater Prairie Chickens at Mead Wildlife Area on the way. Saturday we went to Horicon Marsh, finding 60 species on our first ever visit. We walked the trail at the International Center and drove Dike Rd, with a cooperative Savannah Sparrow<http://www.flickr.com/photos/malcolmgold/5655626821/in/photostream>being my wife's photo highlight. Sunday I repeated the hawk route, observing three the second time around. I brought the camera this time and captured a quick photo in dim light of the 1st year juvenile as it flew almost directly overhead.
