An Eared Grebe in breeding plumage was viewed from 11:15 to 11:30 AM about 400 yards out from the middle of the Lake Dubay Dam. Skinny, black-necked bird with yellowish frilled plumes extending down cheek almost to neck were all well seen in bright sun. The Eared Grebe was by itself and after about fifteen minutes I could not relocate the bird as it moved north away from the dam.
