If anyone is interested, I am leading two dragonfly field trips in SW Wisconsin
over the next 2 weeks.
I will lead a field trip tomorrow evening (Thursday, July 16th) at 5:30 pm at
the Trempealeau NWR. We will meet on the deck in front of the visitor center
and head out from there. At this point, the weather looks iffy, but I will try
to bring some live bugs just in case.
I will also be leading a trip at the Upper Mississippi NWR visitor center on
Brice Prairie (just north of La Crosse). That event will be from 10:00 to Noon
on Saturday, July 25th. It will start with a short presentation and then we
will head out in the prairie in search of damsels, dragons, and butterflies.
Both are free and open to the public. I will bring along some extra nets.
