A report & photo of a Snowy Owl in Forrestville was in the Advocate Newspaper for Saturday - does anyone know exactly where - please give directions. It was reported by one of the wardens of Three Springs Natural Area that the pond is very full and has not frozen due to the constant flow in and out of it from the river there. This person found a mass of duck on it yesterday and they all rose in mass when they saw him approach. He took a photo and it seems they were all mallard. Most of the Shorelines are frozen solid around the county except perhaps in the Baileys Harbor area. We have seen no waterfowl however.
