All so hungry but finding plenty of ground to scratch now the snow has gone. Still a pair of beautifully marked Fox Sparrows - had four at one time. One lonely A. Tree Sp. in very bright plumage. Many pairs of Purple Finches - males so bright. Also a couple of White-throated and White-crowned. Ice still firm on Green Bay - competition up here for last date of melting now thought to be beginning of May. Brown Creepers and both Nuthatches and four Woodpecker species including the Pileated coming for the meal.
