Hi Folks, I was able to do a little birding on Saturday in Door County on vacation. Strong north winds had things stirred up in Sturgeon Bay. I saw a flock of bonaparte's gulls, common tern, common loon and lots of duck flocks. Whitefish Dunes had good numbers of thrushes, kinglets, and warblers. Warblers included black-throated green, yellow-rump, blackpoll, cape may, tennessee, redstart, bay-breasted and ovenbird. The Ridges Sanctuary was pretty quiet but the fringed gentians were nice!
