Had an Osprey return to the nest platform today at Horicon. The
platform can be viewed through a spotting scope from the Horicon Marsh
Education Center lobby. Horicon Marsh is ice free mainly diving ducks
here. This afternoon I made a spin around the northern half of Dodge
county. Fox Lake still half frozen over. Had 3 mergansers species
there, as well as loons. FOY Bonaparte gulls as well. Lake Emily half
open, had ruddy ducks and the normal divers. Beaver Dam Lake 3/4 open,
several bald eagles on the remaining ice. Osprey on a platform there
also. 8 loons north of the trestle.
Things are changing daily
