Had to get out of the house after a rainy morning and a long nap. I took a drive around my area first stop was the flooded farm field just north of my place. BLACK DUCKS, MALLARDS AND AM. WIGEON A nice start to my trek. I was cruising along checking out the the flooded fields when I noticed a movement on a electrical pole, I saw a long tail and turned around as quickly as a could. Bins up and it was a PEREGRINE FALCON! while not a yard bird it was in my block. I was able to get the scope on it and get a band number off the bird. Black band right leg 49W it read. Around the next corner on Catbird Rd were about 50 tundra swans and more ducks. East of Reeseville on "J" held GADWAL, WIGEON,RINGNECK,SHOVELER,PINTAIL,BLACKDUCK and many MALLARDS. Shawhill Rd on the northside of Shaw Marsh Wildlife Area held WHITE FRONTED GEESE,TUNDRA SWANS,WIGEON,PINTAILS, WIGEON were the bird on the day just about everywhere.
