Hello All, Today was a good day at Derby Hill. It was the third day of the season with over 1,000 counted. Todays total was 1,006. Over 700 were Turkey Vultures and 100 were Red-tailed Hawks. One nice highlight for Red-tailed Hawks and the day was a Dark Morph, Western bird that went by in the afternoon. Last year on April 1st we had a Dark Morph Western Red-tailed Hawk go by. So it was kind of neat to see another one just about a year later. Only off by one day. We also had several Common Loons fly over. Then late in the day a Glaucous Gull went by right along the bluff. Anyways to see the totals and the write up check my blog out at: A Hawk Counters World: http://a-hawk-counters-world.blogspot.com/2011/04/hawk-count-422011-very-good.html -Seth Cutright Derby Hill Mexico, NY #################### You received this email because you are subscribed to the Wisconsin Birding Network (Wisbirdn).
