Today I witnessed a cooper's hawk react strangely to thunder. (Actually I believe it was a cooper's hawk, but I still have trouble telling coops from sharpies, so correct me if I'm wrong.) Anyway, everytime there was a loud thunder clap, the hawk would look up to the sky and open it's mouth. It wouldn't make a sound, but repeated the behavior at every loud thunder clap. I have never seen this before so I thought I'd share. http://www.flickr.com/photos/rwiskowski/7817701040/ Rita Flores Wiskowski South Milwaukee #################### You received this email because you are subscribed to the Wisconsin Birding Network (Wisbirdn).
