Yesterday morning my little Bichon Cosie died peacefully in my arms after being my best friend and birding buddy for 18 1/2 years. I can't tell you how much I want her back. This morning my Bluebird mom brought three of her babies to the feeder for a breakfast of mealworms. It's the first time we've seen them since they fledged almost two weeks ago. Watching for them has given me something to look forward today. I'd like to think their appearance was God's little gift toward filling the hole left in my heart with Cosie's passing.
