This mid-afternoon we had 5 Black-throated Green Warblers using our birdbath. I think that is a record high number of BTG Warblers together in our yard. We think they nest yearly across the street in a stand of hemlocks. Four bathed together (they were not a mature male) then a mature male bathed a few minutes later, alone. Yesterday the female Pileated Woodpecker was still feeding - twice â a young male Pileated. Though he is now bigger than she is. This is quite late for feeding a Pileated youth, I think.
