Greetings birding folks,
While returning from a visit with family in the twin cities, I stopped at one
of those name brand villages to be found outside many major urban areas in the
mid west... They house Trader Joes, Banana Republic etc... I stopped in the far
west lot near Trader Joes in Woodbury, Mn. There is a remnant of a wetland in
an empty lot left over from the strip mall. There are several tree in the
middle of said lot. In those trees was a single ruffed grouse and 6 mourning
doves.. On the way home, I spotted two red tail hawks perching and a rough
legged hawk and bald eagle, both flying.. This was driving eastbound on 94..
Good birds to you,
Claudia Giamati
