Hello,
Today I went to the Port Washington harbor in hopes of finding two Ross's
Geese that were reported on Facebook yesterday. I didn't see them, but I
saw my second-ever Red-throated Loon after just seeing my lifer on
Saturday! It was resting/sleeping a lot of the time. I also got nice looks
at a Great black Backed Gull with its bright pink feet. Two black ducks and
a few Bufflehead were mixed in with many Canada Geese, Common Mergansers,
scaup, goldeneyes, and a Coot was also present. I also saw three older dead
duck bodies on ice and a fresh one that was floating on its back...it
didn't look like anything had munched on it for a meal...:(
