Bernie and others, Your photo definitely looks Mute to me. The swan I saw that I called Tundra looked like it had a solid dark bill, but it was back-lit in the bright sun with the reflecting water so it's possible I missed the pink/orange. Of course it's also possible we saw different birds but not as likely. Tim -----Original Message----- From: wisbirdn-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:wisbirdn-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of B.G. At the time I thought Mute Swan, even though the bill seemed more pinkish than orange. I'd appreciate it if someone could confirm my ID. Here's a photo as it was taken by my camera: http://bit.ly/gCuTAb Here's a cropped version of the above photo: http://bit.ly/g3nuNG And here's a shot of the swan sleeping on the ice: http://bit.ly/fkKCi4 Bernie Sloan Milwaukee #################### You received this email because you are subscribed to the Wisconsin Birding Network (Wisbirdn).
