About the only ice left in Milwaukee is in McKinley Marina. This morning I
picked through a mixed flock of Herring and Ring-billed Gulls and found 3
Glaucous (2 adults, 1 immature), 2 Great Black-backed, 1 Lesser
Black-backed, at least 2 Thayer's (adults; probably more, but couldn't get
good enough looks at some candidates), and 1 first winter Kumlien's Iceland
Gull (very pale with pale wingtips).
Very nice selection, especially with spring starting to slide in.
