Yep, Tuesday morning we find out whether all the Hydro people take the bus or
plan to cause a huge traffic attack by clogging all the major arteries. We'll
see just how prepared WT thinks it is.
For the record, there are zero service improvements. All of the changes address
the opening of all levels of school.
There are zero service improvements aimed specifically at the Hydro crowd. The
only change specific to Hydro is the shuffling of buses off the 80 and 81 to
create the 37 Taylor P&R.
Enrollments at the postsecondary level are expected to be up by 5% though
employment declines balance that out

Subject: [winnipegbusnews] photographing every bus?
Just having a little fun with my spreadsheet lately and gathering some stats
from all the data collected. Most interesting. From the dynamic summary sheet I
have created, I can see that only have photos of 47% of the 911-925 units. This
information has identified an area needing improvement so in the future I'll
put in a little more effort to try and get more photos of our 30 footers. They
are a little harder to get as there are so few and they don't seem to hang out
downtown along Port-edge and Graham. As of now I have photos of 66% of the
fleet. Since I've taken over 1000 WT photos one might thing that I would have
more, but that does not seem to be the case. For one thing most of the D901s
(that are counted in that number) were gone before I moved to this city.
Anyway, I realize that Matt and Pat aren't big photo takers but Jim your photo
collection seems to be quite complete in your time here. You've done well to
snap pretty well every bus that has been in existence in your time here.
I find it pretty difficult to photograph every bus unless you stand at key
spots during rush hour a few times a year and photograph virtually every bus
that passes in ideal photo conditions. I'll keep at it and I find the last ones
you need are always the hardest to get. I might be out this week and next week
as school forces transit to dust off as many usable buses as possible. Hope to
see them all and that not many mosquitoes are out.
