Hi Matt, that would be a real tragedy. Those orange buses have been a
Winnipeg trademark as far back as I can remember and probably much
earlier. You always know you're in Winnipeg when you see an orange D40
rumbling down the street. The quality check scheme was always very
distinctive and appealing to me. Wish I could say the same thing about the
new boring white.
That's why I like taking pictures during rush hour. To transit fan on the
weekend around here is quite dull, a D40LF wasteland, almost all of them
WHITE. The orange ones don't look half bad but we are losing those to
rebuilds. :(
Looking forward to summer 09 to do the Graham Mall thing again and
hopefully snap more orange goodies. Hopefully there will still be some
600s and 100s left to snap. I did this in 2007 and 2008 and when comparing
the photos it seems like there were less 100s and 600s this year vs last.
