[windows2000] Span Xplanet image across two monitors

I don't suppose any of you guys know of a way to span a xplanet-generated
image over two monitors?
I've tried the Ultramon Wall paper tool, but it doesn't work as expected. Main
problem is also I don't know and can't find where xplanet saves the generated
cloud-overlay image so that I can point the Ultramon tool to a pic.
My monitor setup currently is pivoted and spanned, ie 2048x1280 (width x
height).
