Licensing: In an NT4 domain, the terminal server license server has to be on one of the terminal servers. In an AD, the TS License server must be on a DC. Policies: you may be restricting access to items via system policy (.POL Files)... these may still work, but GPO's are a much better way to do it. Other than that, I can't think of any... You have: 2 Win2k TS Servers in an NT 4 domain. 2 Win2k Servers that are Domain Controllers(DCs) 1 Win2k Server that is not part of a domain but you want to make it a DC -----Original Message----- From: Bill Beckett [mailto:Bill.Beckett@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, November 05, 2003 11:43 AM To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx'; 'windows2000@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [windows2000] Servers I have two W2K Terminal Servers with Metaframe 1.8 in an NT domain. I also have a new 2000 domain with just two DC's and a few users. What side affects, ramifications will there be if I move the 2K server into the 2K domain? Will it still be able to look to the license server which resides in the NT domain or will users have problems logging in if I move the server from NT to 2K domain? ******************************************************** This Weeks Sponsor Pearl Software Internet Monitoring, Filtering, and Control Solutions Enabling User & Group Level Oversight & Access Policies Fully Functional in a Thick or Thin Client Environment http://www.pearlsw.com ********************************************************** To Unsubscribe, set digest or vacation mode or view archives use the below link. http://thethin.net/win2000list.cfm ________________________________________________________________________ This email has been scanned for all viruses by the MessageLabs Email Security System.
