[windows2000] SOFTWARE: Cloudmarks Spamnet - Yey or Neigh!

Hi all
Any of you using Cloudmarks Spamnet for spam removal. I have been using
it successfully on WindowsXP/OutlookXP for about a week with good
results and no obvious side effects. It really does seem to remove most
spam painlessly.
What I want to know is what mechanism is spamnet using for getting spam
signatures and sending them back to cloudmark. Particularly am I leaving
my system open to attack via some sort of back Door. I suppose what I'm
asking is - Can I trust it?
