I'm not sure if this is what you're talking about, but if you:

Open %windir%\inf\sysoc.inf in notepad
Do a Replace:
Find:  ,HIDE,
Replace with:  ,,

Close and save.

You will see more items listed in the Windows components part of the
add/remove programs.
