Hi Jim and everyone

If I might ask, what are the minimum required rights? Could you possibly
provide me with a link or a "Q" article that will provide me with this
information?

Thanks so much for all the information!!

Russell

Here is how we do it at our organization. We create a separate locked down
account that has a locked down profile(the desktop is empty and so is my
computer) that has elevated priveleges enough to install the fix or updates.
When we want an update installed we enable the account, put a shortcut in
the profile to the update, instruct staff to do the update over a period of
time and then disable the account after that time. We change the password
each time we do this.
Works for us.
Regards,
JK

The only issue I see, is that the user has to have admin privs to
install the updates

Microsoft came out with SUS to do this.

Hi Everyone

Is there a way that you can push updates out through group policy in AD?
Can anyone point me in the direction of a white paper that can give me
direction on how to do this??

Thanks

Russell
