center in May.   We?re looking for people with a strong customer service

JOB DUTIES (summary only):  Uses help desk software to efficiently provide
first-level customer support for the delivery of Network Services by the
Ohio Public Library Information Network (OPLIN); Receives, reviews, analyzes
simple computer hardware and software problems then recommends steps for
resolution; Prioritizes and documents problems, issues and projects; Refers
complex issues to higher level administrators; Communicates to OPLIN
Services staff and Public Libraries who have contracted with OPLIN for
connectivity and access network services; Responsible for placing and
tracking service orders; prepares, reconciles and mails accurate billing to
OPLIN's customers; Monitors OPLIN's telecommunication and reports
discrepancies to supervisor; Prepares and mails correspondence (e.g. Federal
e-rate paperwork, procedural guidelines, etc.); monitors contract compliance
of several telecommunications companies; Responds to inquiries and
complaints from customers.  Implements procedures for providing support
services to libraries; Assists higher level administrators in organizing
training sessions, exhibits, etc.  Maintains office records, prepares
reports, orders supplies, etc.  Operates office equipment.  Responsible for
contacting vendors for maintenance of office equipment; works on special
projects as assigned by the Director.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  High school diploma or equivalent; Ability to read,
write and speak common English language; 1 course or 3 months experience in
using Microsoft related software; 3 courses or 6 months experience in office
practices and procedures; Formal education in Arithmetic that includes
fractions and percentages.
