[windows2000] Explorer Drive renaming

We map a number of drives in our login script and some of them have very =
long paths. =20
When a user opens up Explorer and views them, they see the complete =
path. They can right-click and rename them, but next time they login, =
they revert back to the long path. Some users renames stick and others =
don't.
I'd like to rename them and have them stay. Any ideas?
