the gpo is not applied as i understand it is a user setting rather than a computer setting. Now if I leave my test pc's not logged in it does not work - it does not modify the power setting to what I want. Once I log in as a user in the right group where the gpo has been applied, it works. ________________________________ From: Sorin Srbu <sorin.srbu@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: windows2000@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, March 9, 2009 3:34:05 PM Subject: [windows2000] Re: Energy Saving gpo not working Huh?? What do you mean it doesn't work when nobody's logged in? AFAICT it does. It does here as far as I can tell. -- /Sorin >-----Original Message----- >From: windows2000-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:windows2000- >bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Patrick >Sent: Monday, March 09, 2009 3:57 PM >To: windows2000@xxxxxxxxxxxxx >Subject: [windows2000] Re: Energy Saving gpo not working > >No I didnt, i also found out that this only works when a user is logged on. the GPO >setting affects the User part not the computer part.
