Hi marty,
Well in my opinion, there is a great deal more detail added to my music
when using this decoder. I've only been experimenting with the plugin for a
couple of days, and haven't used it extensively to play audio streams, but
when I have, I've noticed no difficulties maintaining a stream. However,
there is not an option as far as I can see for setting a buffer, but I'm
not sure if this will really be all that necessary.
I guess all you or anybody else can do when it comes to something new is to
just give it a try, and se if it works to your satisfaction, and if so,
keep it, and if not, send it to the bit bucket in the sky.
I am using MAD with a SBaudigy mp3 plus, which apparently is a 16-bit card,
because I don't get the full spectrum of sound when choosing either the 24
or 32-bit settings.Guess I'll have to ask Mr. Claus for a better card this
year <g>. I am also using Audiostalker, along with the Winamp equalizer,
and the Rock preset.
the file you will need to remove is the in_mp3.dll. If running this plugin
causes your puter to blow up, contact the writer, not me <g>.
Let me know what you think of it, and if I can help you more, I'll try. All
I can say, is if it has the same impact on your listening as it does mine,
I think you will want to keep it. But again, your mileage may vary.
