My experience with audio enhancer plugins shows them falling into one of a few categories:

#1. totally inaccessible.

#2. Only accessible to the point where you can load whatever presets come with the plugin and the presets are crap.

#3. Works fine with a screen reader, but very limited in what it can do.

#4. Not freeware and the demo version does not begin to reveal what the plugin might be able to do if you paid for it.

One final thought is this. audio enhancers are a nice idea, but more often than not they tend to add either distortion or other undesired noise to MP3 files. The truly quality enhancer plugins that can render their effects without adding a bunch of garbage to the sound are not free and, in most cases, aren't accessible anyway. My advice to someone who wants audio enhancement is to spend some time tweaking the winamp equalizer and, if their sound card supports eax effects, use those instead of a Winamp plugin. They will be much happier.

One other suggestion would be to use a multipband compressor such as Octimax or Stereo Tool -- both of which are excellent. You can get Stereo tool at

I personally use Octimax 5.1 for my broadcasts. I do not know where to download Octimax 5.1 from, but I could upload the installer to Sendspace or something if people wanted to try it out.

Hi can anyone tell me how this enhancer plug in works and if it is any good? And what are some settings if any that you would recommend when using it? I have tried using google and can't seem to find anything on it. So that is why I come to the list. So thanks for the help in advance and I will look forward to reading anything that may come over the list on this.
