ripping cd's with winamp

HI folks,
Couple questions about the ripping capabilities of Winamp:
1. Is there any ripping possible with the free full version of winamp?
2. Assuming that there is more flexibility with ripping in the pro version,
what format or formats can you rip to? Are there any lossless file formats?
3. Does the winamp ripping application maintain track and album titles?
I've been ripping with WMA, and I am having some trouble with it, and wanted
to explore the alternatives.
