playing on winamp

hi
running winamp 5.35, hitting enter on audio file, be it .wav or .mp3,
doesn't play the file.
i have to hit apps key while focus on the audio file and cursor down to open
with winamp to play it.
i remember previously hitting enter would play the audio file.
kindly suggest fixes please
