Not much help if you want to stick to digital audio extraction from the
CD, but, perhaps, the slight consolation that you're not alone. Some
systems just don't seem to work with Winamp and CDs. I've tried the
Winamp forum and, in spite of their best efforts, nothing has worked so
far. As I say, this applies if you want to stick with digital audio
extraction. If you go back to the "play via the sound card" option, in
the CD Linein plug in's configuration, it should work. However, the
fact that other players can play CDs when Winamp can't, on some systems,
is annoying.
