If you already have Windows Media Player or any other software installed
such as Realplayer, when you pick a station to listen to, it will often
automatically pick the player it wants to use.
Also, if you let someone else take control of your computer to install
anything, they may not know precisely what your needs are, and may set
things up for a sighted person. Ask your friend to come back and tell you
what they have done.

Arlene, this is a very usual thing, it happenns to everyone from time
to time. Nothing to panick over, seriously now, let's try and stay calm.
if you get a beep something is obviously wrong with your computer but
we aren't able to tell since we don't know what else is wrong. you
should consult someone else to see why winamp won't open. it sounds
like a technicle issue that goes beyond what we talk about on the list here.
