Hi,

Let me get this straight, you are running a shoutcast server? You have
someone using your server to stream and you want to listen to it? If this
is the case, all you have to do is run your favourite media player like
Winamp and type in the IP address along with the port number of the machine
that your shoutcast server is running from. don't use your external
internet ip address, you will need to use the local ip address of the actual
machine your server is running from such as <http://192.168.0.2:8000>
http://192.168.0.2:8000 etc. With regards to recording the stream, you can
get winamp to record the stream by configuring the Nullsoft MPEG Audio
Decoder 4.04 [in_mp3.dll] found in your input plugins section. Just look
for the streaming tab. David Truong.

Subject: broadcasting question

Hey there everyone, i have a sort of a very strange question for you
I am using the sam encoders, winamp 5.34 build 1239 beta, shoutcast server
version . 1.98
when i have someone stream off the server i would like to listen to the
stream but when i try to bring up the stream i can not do this, is there
anyway
to either configure the server to
1. let me listen to the stream.
2. or to be able to capture the stream via either replay av or total
recorder?
