I'm wondering if you have unchecked the wav option in win amp?
On this same topic I'm wondering why I can't keep playing songs with win
amp then I go to listen to something else and the original audio is gone
and the new file plays.
This didn't happen always does any one have any ideas what it could be?
Thanks!

Subject: Winamp and WAV files

When I try to play a WAV file in Winamp, I get the following error
message.

Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not
have the appropriate permissions to access the item.
OK

I haven't been able to get WAV files to play in Winamp, even though I've
gone to preferences and have Winamp set up to play all files. So, I was
advised to select a WAV file, like when in Windows Explorer, hit the
Applications key, go to Open With, and go from there. I tried hitting
enter on Winamp which is when I get the error message.

As it is, Windows Media Player is what opens with the WAV files when I
hit enter on them. Not good. I have Winamp version 5.08.
