I slightly changed the subject line to better reflect the question.
I've only seen this a couple times in my history of using Winamp,
and usually it's a memory issue. I can think of 2 things you can
do, one of which is to check to see what programs you have running,
at the time and if there are a lot of them you might close a few of
them down. or another one is that you can upgrade to version 5.33
of Winamp which has a little bit more stability, at least on my
system but that doesn't say much since every system is a little different.
