Hi Chris,

Thanks for this clarification on creating Playlists with Winamp. I have
created a playlist before but I did it using the alternate method of using
the context menu and adding files that way. Your way sounds much better!
But even with that, using playlists with Winamp has been frustrating if not
disappointing. My reasons are as follows. In the past, when I've created
playlists, the shuffle function of winamp, I don't know, how shall I put
this...stinks (at least, at it relates to playlists in Winamp). I mean, I've
created playlists with hundreds of songs and too often I would hear a
handful of songs played over and over again within the same session. With
two or three hundred songs, I should never hear multiple, identical songs
played within, say, a one and a half to two hour session. At least, I've
hardly ever found this to be the case when I've played an MP3 CD on my CD
player and used its shuffle funtion. The other annoying thing about
Winamp's playlist funtion is that too often, the darn thing just stops
playing! I'll be sitting there listening and for no apparent reason, the
thing just stops! And no, it did not go through the entire playlist.
Remember, I had two or three hundred songs in there. This is terribly
annoying. I thought this might just be an isolated incident, but this kept
happening over and over again. After the last time this happened, I just
gave up on using playlists in Winamp. Now I just play my music using the
Shif-L command. Although, I would prefer to be able to use a playlist.
Oddly enough, I never seem to have the problems I mentioned above when I do
use the Shift-L command. It only does these things when playing playlist
files in Winamp. It's really weird. What I might end up doing is creating
the playlist in Winamp, and then play the playlist file using Windows Media
Player.

Best Regards,

Michael
