Hello again,
Do you know what are the meanings of the following Local Security User =
Rights Assignment Policies in terms of system and user and system =
functionality?
1. Act as a part of the operating system
2. Increase quotas
3. Replace a process level token
4. Log on as a service

when these are assigned to the Administrators Group on Windows 2000 =
Professional?
I have changed these settings (assigned them to the Administrators =
Group) for the need of a software package and I need to know how these =
policies affect my system in terms of security and functionality as well =
as the influence they have on the Administrators of the System.
While I have changed them and assigned all these to the Administrators =
Group I don't remember anymore which of them were assigned or not to the =
Administrators Group before changing them - as a system default - and =
which were their original status! (especially for number 2).

Any help is really appriciated.

Any internet resource that can me help understand in detail all the User =
Rights Assignment Policies (or even all the Local Security Settings!) on =
Windows 2000, I will be very willing to read and learn.
I need to know because I need to know how secure my system is.=20

TIP OF THE DAY:
* To install the Recovery Console as a startup option.*
- With Windows running, insert the Windows 2000 Professional CD into =
your CD-ROM drive.=20
- Click No when prompted to upgrade to Windows 2000.=20
- At the command prompt, switch to your CD-ROM drive, and then type the =
following:=20
\i386\winnt32.exe /cmdcons
- Follow the instructions on the screen.=20
