I’m sorry there wasn’t an explanation enclosed but I am happy to explain. The
dues were increased by $50 (last year’s NR Family dues were $575). The dues
increase was due to a rise in labor cost. As you may know the minimum wage is
going up annually until it arrives at $15 an hour in the year 2025.
Unfortunately, we are not able to just absorb those costs and have to pass them
on to our members. The dues increase was necessary to continue to maintain a
safe, well-staffed and thriving pool. I hope this answers your question and

Hello
I was wondering why the family non-resident went up $100 from last year. I
would expect that when a fee goes up, there should be an explanation
accompanying the renewal letter.

Good News..Wiltondale Pool membership renewal for the 2020 season is now
open!
We are looking forward to another fun pool season. Please see the attached
annual membership letter for details on season dates, times and awesome
events.
Important:
Renew your membership before April 1st and you may purchase up to 20 guest
passes at a discounted rate of $5 (guest passes return to the normal
in-season rate of $7 after this date). All memberships must be renewed by
April 15th to avoid the mandatory $100 late fee. On April 16th we will begin
the process of offering the available memberships to applicants on our
waitlist.
*Wiltondale residents must pay their community dues before joining the pool.
