Just an update on the parking permit process. There are several ways to apply
for a permit. First, check to see if you live in a permitted area here:

Permits expire on July 31, no matter when you obtain the permit.
So if you get your permit on July 30th, it will expire the following day,
sadly. I personally feel this is ridiculous b/c even the MVA registers your car
from the date of purchase and will pro-rate if you sell the vehicle. This might
require contacting our State delegate/representative to find out how to make it
yearly from date of purchase. If someone would like to take this on, please let
the board know.
I was assured by the parking permit office that reminders for renewal are sent
via snail mail and email. However, it is probably best to put in your calendar
with a reminder for a month or so beforehand as some residents have said they
never received a renewal notice.

the address at the top of the form:
