Subject: Update
I know many of you have been concerned over the rash burglaries in your
neighborhoods. We recently got the break we were looking for on the cases in
Idlewylde, Anneslie, and Stoneleigh. A piece of property left behind at the
scene of a burglary on Regester Avenue yielded some valuable information, and
led to the identification of our suspect. Monday morning, detectives from the
Baltimore County Police Burglary Unit arrested this suspect in connection
with a burglary and attempted burglary on Regester Avenue. We believe this
individual is connected to several other cases in the Idlewylde, Anneslie and
Stoneleigh communities. Detectives are still working through the cases, but
it appears that this suspect was committing burglaries of homes and sheds. We
are hopeful that this suspect is the one responsible for many of the cases
that have occurred in the area since November. I will send out additional
information as soon as I get it, but the case is still active.
Thank you all for everything you do to support our crime fighting efforts,
Jay
