Dear Whitman Families and Friends, Here are a couple of announcements that Whitman PTA would like to make you aware of before the beginning of next week. Madison Cluster Meeting May 12, 2014 at 5 pm Madison High School, Room 101 The district will be presenting the plan of action for the June 2nd Open House where they will discuss the various changes being considered for the cluster. They are looking for a group "of the willing" to volunteer to work with the cluster the evening of the 2nd. The cluster will then be reaching out to all the community in the Madison cluster boundaries to come and learn about the changes, express concerns and learn why the changes are being considered for the benefit of the community of schools and the community at large. Any and all community is encouraged to come and learn about the process where the district will be working with every cluster over the next 5 years but with the Madison cluster taking the initial place in this process. Again, this Monday is the final preparation for the community to meet with the schools and the district on June 2nd to truly have an impact on public education in our community. Whitman ASB Jog-A-Thon Wednesday, May 14, 2014 starting at 9:30 am Help the Whitman ASB keep the digital track system going by participating in the job-a-thon. They are in need of volunteers to help setup, monitor water stations, donations, and much more. You can sign-up on the big poster board located at the Front Office as well as pick up a copy of the donation letter to get donations from local businesses.
