Thank you Mrs. Scott for coming down and sitting with me for a few
hours, and feeding me. 😊
The AV/projection project is basically complete. There is a dented
panel on the equipment rack. I am told it will be replaced. We also
have 3 cables too many. So we should be able to return them and get a
refund or store credit. And we still have a $50 Best Buy gift card to
receive.
We cannot, cannot, cannot move the equipment rack. That is because it
is hard wired into the speakers. So, the furthest it will be able to
be moved is about 10 inches or so. I am thinking we should take the
wheels off of the wrack so there is less chance of someone trying to
move it, since it is pretty heavy.
The wrack is locked up, and the remote control that controls the
system is inside the rack.
I took one contractor bag of trash and some collapsed boxes home.
Angela H. and I went through all of the boxes and removed the trash
(plastic and non recycling from them and put the trash into two more
contractor bags, They are very light, and one is only half full.
There is a very large box full of collapsed and folded up cardboard
boxes. This should all be good for recycling.
I spent over 11 hours down at the building today, so I was just eager
to get back to my home so we could take care of other family things.
I could not find any trash bag ties, the boxes of trash bags did not
have any in them. So I could not close the two trash bags.
The bags and the cardboard are just inside the building on the right.
Angela H. swept the floor, to get up dirt and debris from the
installation project.
There are still more things to do, such as put away a whole bunch of
operating manuals, individual remote controls, and unused shelves from
the rack. These things are in a box on the table that has the WECA
history trifold. I am not asking anyone to do that, just wanted to
indicate the building is not pristine at the moment.
The system is completely awesome though! I cannot wait for you all to
see it in action. If I had one wish, I wish the projector could have
been mounted a bit closer to the ceiling, but they say there were
reasons they had to put it at that level based upon the height of the
projector screen. The universal remote control makes everything so
much easier to use.

Geek Squad is installing the projection system as I type this email.
I will be down here for most of the day, and do a few things to keep
myself busy and cleanup the building.
I noticed there is still trash down here from the Easter Egg Hunt from
Sunday.
We need to get better with making sure the trash from the event is
removed, or it is arranged for someone to remove the trash. The more
trash we have in the building, the more chances we have to get mice. I
have also noticed there were kitchen items in a drying rack from
months ago on the side of the kitchen. We cannot treat the kitchen
here as our kitchen at home. The drying rack was not there before, but
after things were washed after an event, the items were left in the
rack to dry. We need to dry them and put them away, along with the
drying rack. So the building is as close to the way it was prior to
the event, or better.
This email is out to the Board, but two of the Activities committee is
receiving it, and I have already spoken these words to Angela H.
earlier this morning.
I will take a contractor sized trash bag out with me to my home. There
were two boxes and then the egg cartons in the boxes, I will take them
to my home for recycling.
After the Geek Squad is gone later today, I will assess how many more
trash bags we have filled up, and ready to be taken out. I may need
one or two households to volunteer to take a contractor sized bag of
trash for their next household trash pickup.
I am going to head outside and finish up clearing the end of the path
from the Gulph Lane to the basement door. I believe there is still a
bit of widening of the path, digging out the dirt and grass that has
worked its way in over the years. Just as before, the dirt and grass
will be relocated to the trees at the park side of the building. Might
only be about 2 or 3 6 gallon buckets full of dirt to move.
