mailbox on Friday. (Probably a gift from Santa Ed.) They are
requesting additional information for our request for reinstatement of
tax exemption and 501C(3) status.
I gave that multi-page letter to Mrs. Scott yesterday, and she is
already making considerable advancements. We will need information
from a few years back, so information gathering will probably be the
most time consuming effort.
The IRS requires the information no later than the beginning of March,
but we hope to provide it much sooner than that.

The short of it...we are still waiting. Ed, please keep an eye on your
mailbox (and the association's mailbox in case a different mailman
delivers).

3:20PM:
Today Pay.gov still shows the form application as Accepted. I called
Pay.gov, and they are only the bank. So, once the payment is out of
our bank account, the form is sent to the IRS. The IRS must be called
to check on the progress of the application.
5:25PM:
Called into IRS to check the status of the 1023EZ application.
Prior to October of 2017, the process time may have been 2 weeks on
average. But now it is longer due to changes in the system and such.
The form was Assigned on 1/31/2018. It usually takes up to 45 days
before you receive any updates.
Any information/updates will be sent through the US Mail.
It could be easily approved/denied, or sent to another department for
a more thorough look.
So, we are still playing the waiting game.
