[website-critique] Why would my SSI work at the top of a page and not at the bottom?

On one of my pages:

the SSI call for the current date and time works
Monday, 17-Dec-2001 02:51:30 EST
Page Last updated on: Monday, 17-Dec-2001 02:57:36 EST
near the bottom I have an SSI call to display the
visitors IP address
Your IP address is:
All fraudulent activities will be prosecuted.
Why does the bottom one not work?
