I'm posting this job listing for a client (who by the way has been a
pleasure to work with over the years). This is essentially a webmaster
position for maintaining and updating the website www.asiasociety.org.
The job is really about being able to do HTML and content work. The
salary is in the low 30K range (please don't flame me: it's a junior

TITLE: Producer, AsiaSociety.org
PROGRAM/DEPT: Marketing and Communications
PURPOSE: To maintain and produce content for AsiaSociety.org.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
AsiaSociety.org
* Regularly update content on the institutional site including
events,
publications, press releases, and speeches.
* Oversee the development of online exhibitions, corporate
conference
sites, and other institutional web features. Work with freelance
designers and programmers for development of these features.
* Liaison with Arts and Culture/Policy and Business Departments to
coordinate on web projects.
* Manage the hiring of Asia Society Online interns.
* Help gather news for AsiaToday's daily news digest.
* Depending on experience, contribute content for other Asia
Society
websites such as AsiaSource.org, AsiaBusinessToday.org, and
Asiafood.org.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
* B.A. required.
* One to two years experience in the web industry or related
field.
* Must know HTML, web design experience a plus.
* Background or interest in Asia and Asia-related issues a plus.
* Excellent writing and communication skills.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
