Hi all,
the MIDI source behavior in the AVS model has changed with Vista, tested
with RC2.
In XP the driver can assume that there is always a framing buffer to
indicate received MIDI data to the ks.sys driver. In Vista there is only
one buffer at el. It is independent from the settings in
KSALLOCATOR_FRAMING_EX one buffer.
Furthermore some times there is no buffer for a time interval larger
than 50 ms on a double core PC without any load condition. This seems
very strange.
This causes the requirement to have a buffer in the driver to store the
Midi data if the KS interface is not able to receive it.
I think this behavior is more a bug than a feature.
