[wdmaudiodev] IPortEvents::GenerateEventList +Vista

Hello,
It seems that IPortEvents->GenerateEventList is sometimes ignored on
Vista RTM.
My soundevice has a volume control knob, which needs to notify the Vista
volume control gui. This worked fine under XP but is somehow unstable
under Vista.
Sometimes the sliders (sound->recording->properties->levels) are
updated, sometimes not. In case the sliders are not updated, the volume
property handler is not called at all.
The call looks like this:
that->PortEvents->GenerateEventList(NULL,
KSEVENT_CONTROL_CHANGE,FALSE,ULONG(-1),TRUE,NODE_MIC_VOLUME);
Any ideas?
