I think there is a scribble in the document sysfx.doc page 9 in the table
describing the different propery store values.
FriendlyName should have ID 4 and UserInterface ID 3 (so it does in the
sample on the next page).

Frank,
Thank you so much.

Could you provide some reference documents about SysFx?

Q: Does GFX exist on Vista?
A: A feature referred to as "SysFx" or "System Effects" replaces the XP
GFX feature.

Q: Is GFX not only for USB, but also for HD audio?
A: The Vista SysFx feature can apply to non-USB audio devices.

Q: Is there any difference between GFX on XP and GFX on Vista?
A: They are very different in form but somewhat similar in function. On
Vista the effects are packages as user-mode COM objects and are loaded
by the new Vista user-mode audio infrastructure. The UI around all this
is also different.

Subject: [wdmaudiodev] GFX Filter on Vista

Hi There,
I learned from WDK document that:
GFX filter only exists on 32-bit versions of XP and Server
2003,
and unlikely to run in later versions of Windows.
             Only for USB audio devices.

But http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/device/audio/wavertport.mspx said,
GFX can be tied to WaveRT driver in Vista.

Does anybody know more about that:
Does GFX exist on Vista?
Is GFX not only for USB, but also for HD audio?
Is there any difference between GFX on XP and GFX on Vista?

Thanks so much.
