Can you send me a dump of the following two registry keys off-list?

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\DeviceClasses\{6994ad04-93ef-11d0-a3cc-00a0c9223196}

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\MMDevices

Subject: [wdmaudiodev] Device icons again...

Hi,

In an effort to try to make our product not need admin rights (which makes
auto-run at login a pitb), I'm trying to use the information here:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/a/f/d/afdfd50d-6eb9-425e-84e1-b4085a80e34e/cln-t351_wh07.pptx

Page 23 depicts how to change the device icon through PKEY_DeviceClass_IconPath.

The only problem is that it doesn't work.

No matter what I do, the endpoint comes up as "Speakers" with the associated
speaker icon.

Do I have to change the node type of the driver to something other than
KSNODETYPE_SPEAKERS ?

I'm running Win7 x64.

Regards
/Robert
